About Sanjeet

Sanjeet graduated with a degree in Biomedical Sciences (Hons) from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and completed the Legal Practice Course, with commendation, from BPP Law School in Leeds. She qualified as a specialist intellectual property solicitor in 2009.

She has a mixed practice of hard (patent) and soft (trade marks / designs) litigation and trade mark and design prosecution. ​

 

Sanjeet advises in relation to both contentious and non-contentious matters at HLK in relation to all areas of the IPR Lifespan including in relation to High Court, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court and Court of Appeal litigation as well as UK Intellectual Property Office matters.  She also has experience in social media and domain name takedowns and Company Names Tribunal proceedings. ​

Sanjeet has been litigating for more than 18 years and her litigation experience varies from technical patent disputes in areas such as agrochemicals, medical devices, aviation, to unregistered design right infringement, complicated breach of confidence/trade secret issues, mediations and interim injunctions.  She is also responsible for the day-to-day management of a number of clients’ worldwide trade mark and registered design right portfolios.

Sanjeet is a member of the cross-firm UPC team and part of the SME Task Force at the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA)​.

She was named as a Next Generation Partner in the 2023 Legal 500 and is a regular host and speaker for HLK’s webinar series. ​
