About Laura

Before qualifying in November 2021, Laura built up extensive experience advising on trade mark prosecution and portfolio maintenance matters for a range of clients with portfolios of varying sizes across different sectors including industrial minerals and consumer goods. She also deals with office actions and prepares registrability and contentious submissions.

Her experience also includes trade mark searching, devising trade mark and design filing strategies and carrying out IP gap analyses, drafting agreements and pursuing and defending contentious proceedings including oppositions, invalidity and revocation actions before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) and domain name complaints before Nominet. Laura also has particular experience in trade mark non-genericide initiatives.

With a background in literature and language, Laura joined HLK in 2016. She is fluent in Dutch/Flemish and English, with professional proficiency in French and German.
