Heather Simpson

Heather has spent the last 20 years assisting clients in their IP, IT and commercial transactions. Heather also has in-house experience, having worked for BAE SYSTEMS plc and as sole in-house counsel for IT firm, Agilisys.  She drafts and negotiates complex IT and commercial agreements, including IP licences, collaboration agreements, IT outsourcing, software licensing, development and integration, reseller arrangements, support agreements, cloud based services, terms and conditions, supply, distribution and agency agreements.  She also advises on all aspects of data protection, cyber security and privacy law and is currently working towards becoming a registered Data Protection Practitioner. She is used to acting for a variety of clients from start-ups, small and large SME’s, plc’s and Universities and is known for her ability to connect with clients offering a wider commercial perspective gained from working extensively in industry.
