His experience spans a wide range of UK, European and overseas trade mark matters, including clearance searching, strategic advice in relation to contentious proceedings and arguing the case for registrability of trade marks. Michael works for leading businesses across a variety of industry sectors, including luxury watches, industrial minerals and steam engineering.
Michael also leads the firm's Designs Group and regularly advises clients on registered and unregistered design matters. During his time with Haseltine Lake Kempner he has also completed two secondments, one to the in-house trade mark department of a large US corporation and one to a leading intellectual property law firm in Guangzhou, China.
Michael is a member of CITMA (the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys), FICPI (the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys) and an associate member of CIPA (the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys).
